Welcome to Normalise Psychology

Normalise Psychology is a private psychology practice currently offering cognitive and neurodevelopmental assessments for primary school-aged children.

Broader therapeutic and assessment services will be introduced over time as the practice develops.

Normalise Psychology is grounded in the understanding that emotional and psychological difficulties are often understandable responses to life experiences, temperament, and context. Support focuses on making sense of what’s happening, strengthening skills, and developing more effective ways of responding and supporting individual development.

People are welcomed as they are, whether they’ve been considering therapy for some time or are unsure if it’s for them.

A practical, collaborative approach

Work at Normalise Psychology is evidence-based and collaborative, drawing on established psychological approaches and adapting them to the individual.

Support may involve:

  • Understanding patterns of thinking, emotional, or behavioural responses.

  • Developing practical skills for managing stress or difficulty.

  • Reflecting on values, expectations, and ways of responding.

  • Completing assessments to clarify cognitive or developmental profiles.

The focus is on understanding first, then intervention — with clear boundaries, realistic expectations, and respect for the complexity of people’s lives.
